Marshool Labs ("we", "us", or "our") built the Marshool app ("the App") as a free educational application for children. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.

Children's Privacy

Marshool is designed for children ages 4+. We are committed to protecting children's privacy and comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is necessary for the App to function. The App does not require children to provide any personal information to use it.

Information We Collect

Profile Information

• A display name chosen by the user (this can be any name or nickname)
• An avatar selection
• Language preference
• Game settings (difficulty level, sound preferences)

Gameplay Data

• Math operation progress and accuracy
• Gold coins earned and spent (in-game currency only)
• Collectible cards and cosmetic items owned
• Daily streak information

Authentication Data (Optional)

• The App starts with anonymous authentication (no personal data required)
• Users may optionally link a Google account or email address for profile recovery across devices
• If a Google account is linked, we receive only the account identifier needed for authentication
• If an email is linked, we store only the email address for authentication purposes

Analytics Data

• We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as which games are played, session duration, and general app usage patterns
• This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users
• No advertising identifiers are collected

How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Save and restore game progress
• Enable multiple child profiles on one device
• Allow optional account linking for profile recovery
• Improve the App based on aggregated, anonymous usage patterns

Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored securely using Google Firebase services
• The App can also function with local-only storage on the device
• We implement appropriate security measures to protect stored data

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication — for user account management
• Cloud Firestore — for storing user profiles and game progress
• Firebase Analytics — for anonymous usage analytics

We do not share any user data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose.

What We Do NOT Do

• We do NOT display ads
• We do NOT offer real-money in-app purchases
• We do NOT share or sell user data to third parties
• We do NOT track users across other apps or websites
• We do NOT collect precise location data
• We do NOT collect photos, videos, or audio

Data Retention and Deletion

• Users can unlink their accounts at any time from the App settings
• Profile data can be deleted by removing the profile from the App
• To request complete deletion of all data associated with an account, contact us at the email below

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
